CORMAX is the world leader in ballistic training equipment. With CORMAX, athletes can perform the Core Olympic lifts with Maximum safety and intensity.
Founder Dave Karlstrom began developing, manufacturing and selling free-weight equipment to colleges and high schools in the early 1980s. Following his passion to deliver high-quality, effective training to all athletes and fitness enthusiasts, Dave invented a new type of hydraulic cylinder. This innovative cylinder creates resistance in only one direction, allowing athletes to throw a weight against the full force of gravity while still controlling the rate of fall.
In the early 1990s, Dave was joined by his brother Kent to form CORMAX and create equipment using the new technology. In 2006, the Karlstrom brothers were awarded a patent for their Safety Cylinder.
CORMAX Ballistic Training Equipment is now found in gyms and training rooms around the world. From private gyms and high school weight rooms to the training facilities of professional teams such as the Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Cavaliers, CORMAX helps athletes of all ages and skill sets achieve their maximum performance.
